Stop Texting. Know who's down tonight with color coded statuses and what they want to do with hashtags. Form groups called nests, that last just that night to plan with friends.
Share your night
Share your nightly photos with the rally camera that unlocks at 6pm. Share photos with groups of friends or all your friends easier than ever. See where friends are by requesting their location, and find out if where they are is any good.
Relive your night
Retrace your footsteps the next morning. See what all your friends did last night.
Rally is the best way for friends to plan, share, and relive each night. Users can set statuses on a nightly basis, create temporary group chats called Nests, post photos to Birdseye to chronicle their night, and after a memorable night out, even retrace their steps in the My Nite tab.
Information We Collect
What You Directly Provide Us
When you create a basic Rally account, we collect a few important details about you. If you sign in by creating an account separate from Facebook or Google+ we collect: your phone number, and unique password. When you Login with Facebook or Google+ we collect your phone number, existing profile picture, and general profile information. It is our hope that you use Rally to its fullest potential, if for some reason you would like to delete your account, email email@example.com. However, Rally may be required by law to retain certain information for a limited period of time.
What You Automatically Provide Us When You Use Our Services
Due to the temporary nature of a lot of content shared on Rally, we collect some information automatically to help continuously improve features and expand functionality. Other additional purposes for information gathering are outlined below:
Usage Information: We collect general information about your activity, status, and messages you send and receive through our service. We would like to stress that the information we collect is anonymous in nature and general in function. For example, we collect information such as the number of messages you exchange with friends, which friends you message/create Nests with most often. We may also collect information such as the time, date, sender and recipient of messages and location requests, as well as requests to hide status.
Device Information: We collect information about the device you are using to access our service. This information includes the hardware model, operating system and version as well as other device identifiers such as MAC address and IMEI and browser type and language. Additional device information is collected in the rare case that Rally crashes. If Rally crashes or another problematic even occurs, we will collect the list of open apps on your device as well as device performance information for troubleshooting purposes.
Device Phonebook and Photos: Because Rally functions as a social network between friends, we may – with your consent – collect information from your device’s phonebook and photos. We do this so you can seamlessly connect with your friends and share content quickly, while also enhancing functionality. You can always opt out of this by changing the settings on your device or deleting our app from your device.
Website Log Information: We collect log file information when you use our website. This is just general information which includes, among other things, your browser type and language, access times, pages viewed, your IP address, and the website you visited before navigated to our website.
Information We Collect From Other Sources
When another user allows us to collect information from his or her device phonebook and you’re one of that user’s contacts, we may combine the information. We may also obtain information from other sources and combine that with the information we collect through Rally.
Information We Collect When You Contact Us
Whenever you contact our Support team, we will collect any information you volunteer.
How We Use Information
What do we do with the information we collect? Everything we collect is used to better our service. Additionally we:
Communicate with you, basically we may send you marketing communications and respond to your comments and questions;
Analyze trends and usage;
Improve and refine products and services;
Personalize the service by providing content that matches users interest;
Verify your identity to prevent fraud or other unauthorized activity
Carry out any other purpose for which information was collected.
Where Information is Processed
Rally is based in the United States. However, we welcome friends from around the world. To keep this functionality you consent to the processing and transfer of information in the U.S and abroad. Keep in mind that when traveling in other countries the information process might not be as comprehensive or protective as laws in the country where you live. Information may be made available to government or law enforcement requests.
How We Share Information
Here’s the type of information we may share about you with others and how we do so:
Due to the fact that all friend information is gathered from your contact list all notifications of actions taken in the app will use the name in your contact list.
Friends are able to see your profile picture and hashtags unless you have chosen to hide from them.
Friends will see your photos and comments as well as hoots on pictures shared to the Birdseye tab. Comments and hoots may occur from people who are not your friends.
Friends will see your photos and comments in Nests, however these comments and hoots are separate from the ones that appear in Birdseye. In the friends in nest tab, people who are in the nest but not your friends will see your name and have the option to add you as a friend.
When adding new friends from the nest members screen your phone number will not be displayed
When you send a location request a friend will receive a notification stating that you asked for his/her location.
You are the only one who can see your MyNite tab
We may also share aggregated or de-identified information. This information could never be reasonably used to identify you.
We may share information about you with service providers who perform services on our behalf.
A great majority of Rally’s features automatically delete content. Statuses and Nests last for only one night. This means that all content in Nests and Statuses from the previous night reset the following day at 6am. Location and status requests also expire the following day as well as the My Nite path. However in the cases below your information may last longer then 24 hours:
Share to Birdseye: Images shared to Birdseye are viewable so friends can see a real-time daily feed of what their friends were doing each night.
Screenshot: If someone screenshots a nest or status that content can be saved to the users phone which is beyond our control.
Nests: Pictures shared to nests that have expired are saved in the My Nite tab for an additional day to give users the opportunity to catch up on anything they mist the previous night.
